THE ROLE

Do you have a passion for providing superior customer service and serving others? At the NY Grill & Bistro, the Server demonstrates exceptional customer service and people skills. The Servers main responsibility is to provide superior customer service to our guests; ensuring guests feel welcomed and are left with a positive lasting impression. This position alternates duties, from providing food and cashier service to our guests to preparing and serving drinks at the bar.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Take customers orders and operate a POS
  • Provide food service to customers dining at the restaurant and bar.
  • Prepare and serve drinks.
  • Responsible for providing professional and superior customer service in accordance with established company standards
  • Operate in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Knowledge of all promotions and events for the day/week/month
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work area and environment
  • Maintain a positive work environment
  • Performs all other job related duties as requested

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Serving it Right Certificate
  • Able to lift a minimum of 25lbs
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Ability to get along well with others with demonstrated effort in a team environment
  • Strong conflict resolution, initiative and decision-making skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Professional demeanour and appearance

EXPERIENCE

  • 1 year work experience in a similar role
  • Will provide on-going job training
  • Must have Serving It Right
  • Must be 19+
